This quick and easy meal has fueled many university graduates
If you just want a savoury hot meal to satisfy but only have 10-15 minutes, this classic could be for you.
Ingredients
- 1 package instant noodles
- 1 whole egg
- 0.25 cup frozen veggies
- 6 cups water
Directions
Put a liter of water in a pot and one egg, cover. Turn heat to high. When the water starts to boil set a 5 minute timer for soft or 10 minute timer for hard boiled. When the egg timer is done, peel the egg and slice in half.
5 minPlace remaining 2 cups of water in another pot, ad frozen veggies, bring to a boil. When the water begins to boil add the dry noodles and set a 3-5 minute timer. When the timer is done, reserve 1 cup of the water and add to a medium sized bowl. Drain noodles/veggies and discard remaining water.
3 minEmpty the flavour packet into the bowl of water and mix. Add noodles, veggies, and place egg halves on top.
If you want to add any extras, now is the time. Or just go ahead and dig in.
Pro Tip
Adding some hot pepper slices, hot sauce, or hoisin at the end really make this disk pop.
Serve With
Grilled cheese sandwich
Notes & Variations
You can sub any frozen veggies to this, and use any type of instant noodles. Or prepare gluten free / keto noodles if you desire.
