Grilled Cheese

The classic grilled cheese sandwich

Servings: 1 Difficulty: Easy Prep: 15 min Cook: 10 min Total: 25 min

Ingredients

  • 1 Slice Cheddar Cheese
  • 2 Slices Bread
  • 1 Tbsp Butter

Directions

  1. Toast First Side: Heat up your pan to medium , when hot add half the butter to melt and spread around pan. Place 2 pieces of bread on the butter to toast. (5 min)
  2. Toast Second Side: Pull of the bread for a second, add the remaining butter to the pan and spread around. Flip your bread and toast the other side, add the cheese to one piece of the bread. (5 min)
  3. Assemble: Place the other piece of bread on top of the melty cheese. Slice sandwich in half. (1 min)
  4. Serve: Plate the hot sandwich, and add any condiments you may want with it. (1 min)

Pro Tip

Some people will butter the bread and then put it in the pan instead of adding the bread to a buttered pan. If doing this, soften the butter first.

Serve With

Ketchup, dill pickles, regular potato chips.

Notes

Adding some deli meat or changing the cheese variety will really enhance this simple dish.
